The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that works is your call.
Welcome Offer
